The Forbidden City…..710 (great architecture, but kinda looked the same after awhile)
Tianamen Square…..it’s just square! (Licia???)

The Summer Palace…..810 (looks more maintained than FC)
Markets for Brand Name “knock offs”…..you see one, you’ve seen them all!
Best Washroom…..the one in my hotel…..just can’t get used to washroom stalls (squatting type) without doors
Most Annoying Hawker…..the middle aged lady who followed us for a couple of hours up the Great Wall trying to flog her t-shirts, post cards, and other Great Wall memorabilia
Best Imitation of a Western Restaurant…..McDonald’s (the only thing I could survive on without having to order in Mandarin)
Most Annoying Local Habit…..(I could put up with the spitting but the lady on the subway who picked her nose in front of me…”dig, dig, dig!”…and wiped it on the hand rail WINS!
I would have warned the fella who grabbed the rail a minute later about it, but as we say in Canada…..C’est la vie!
